COVID 19 updates
C OVID 19 and our response - Feb 14, 2021
Dear friends,
We are back to in-person worship at 930 am starting Sunday Feb 14, 2021.
We will continue online worship at 11:30 am.
We will follow the safety guide, monitor the situations and keep you updated with any changes related to Xaris ministries. One thing for sure, we will continue to worship the Lord, share our lives, and serve the neighbors in need.
In the face of this unprecedented challenge, I want to assure you that the Lord is ever present in our lives. We have our Heavenly Father, who loves us.
We also have one another. We are the community of love and faith. We will continue to share our faith journey by walking together. We will get through this together. We love you.
Pastor John and Michelle
What not to do:
-
Don’t be afraid
-
Fear cripples judgment.
-
Fear replaces faith.
-
Fear boots God out of our lives.
Psalm 23:4 Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
2. Don’t be ignorant
-
Educate ourselves about COVID 19 thru CDC, CA Department of Public Health and local media.
-
We need to mitigate the risk – Stay home and follow the state guide.
Matthew 10:11 11 “Whenever you enter a city or village, search for a worthy person and stay in his home until you leave town. 12 When you enter the home, give it your blessing. 13 If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand; if it is not, take back the blessing. 14 If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave. 15 I tell you the truth, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off than such a town on the judgment day. 16 “Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves.
What to do:
-
Be prayerful
-
We pray for God’s healing and deliverance.
-
We pray for people to come closer to God.
-
We pray for God’s strength and compassion upon believers.
Matthew 6:9-12 Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. 10 May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today the food we need,[a] 12 and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. 13 And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.
2. Be considerate
-
Stay home if you feel unwell.
-
Be sensitive and supportive to others as everyone deals differently.
-
Be compassionate with those who are dealing with COVID 19.
Philippians 4:5 5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
